Metso commissions 4 MW slurry pump test rig

Metso has commissioned a new 4 MW extra-large slurry pump test rig at its Test and Training Center in Sala, Sweden The rig, described by Metso as among the largest of its kind globally, is now fully operational, with the first tests completed successfully. Franklin Electric buys Cat Pumps

Franklin Electric has completed the US$350 million acquisition of Cat Pumps Corporation. The transaction includes US$350 million in cash and a potential earnout of up to US$50 million in Franklin Electric stock, subject to future performance. Minneapolis-based Cat Pumps is a provider of high- pressure plunger and piston pumps for commercial and industrial applications.

Trillium agrees US$240mn sale to Crane Company

Trillium Pumps US (TPU), to Crane Company for approximately US$240 million. The definitive agreement represents the latest step in Trillium’s strategy to shape its portfolio and position its businesses for long-term growth. The transaction is expected to close later this year, subject to customary closing conditions, including applicable regulatory approvals.

16 Nikkiso pumps for German LNG import terminal

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group (Nikkiso CE&IG) has secured a contract to supply 16 submerged motor pumps for the German LNG Terminal in Brunsbüttel. Nikkiso CE&IG will manufacture high-pressure, low-pressure and ship-loading pumps for the project.

Valmet to sell its pump business to Metso

Valmet has agreed to sell its pump business to Metso in a transaction that will transfer peristaltic hose pump and progressive cavity pump technologies, along with related aftermarket spare parts and service capabilities. The products are currently sold under the Flowrox brand as part of Valmet’s flow control offering. The Flowrox trademark and brand will remain with Valmet, while Flowrox valves will continue to form part of its valve portfolio.

Pentair to acquire Taco Group in US$1.4bn deal

Pentair has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Taco Group Holdings for approximately US$1.4 billion, expanding its portfolio of water management solutions and strengthening its position in commercial and mission-critical markets. The transaction, which is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, will add Taco’s portfolio of pumps, valves, tanks, heat exchangers and advanced controls to Pentair’s Water Solutions segment.

Xylem to acquire Cornell Pump and Roper Pump in US$1.46bn deal

Xylem has agreed to acquire the Cornell Pump and Roper Pump businesses from Indicor for US$1.46 billion, expanding its presence across industrial and municipal pumping applications. Cornell Pump and Roper Pump will broaden Xylem’s offering in applications where pumping requirements extend beyond traditional fluid-handling needs.

Interpump buys Italian dosing pump manufacturer MVV

Italy’s Interpump Group has acquired 100% of MVV Srl through its subsidiary Alfa Valvole. Founded in Orsago (TV) in 1942, MVV manufactures dosing gear pumps for chemical and textile applications. The company closed 2025 with revenues of €6.3 million.

PCL wins US$146mn Washington Water contract

PCL Construction has been awarded a US$146 million progressive design-build contract by District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority (DC Water) for upgrades to water pumping and storage facilities in Washington, DC. The project marks DC Water’s first progressive design-build scheme and includes improvements to two potable water pumping stations and two water storage reservoirs.
