Celeros Flow Technology (Celeros FT) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Westinghouse Electric Co to support nuclear new-build projects in Canada and globally.
The agreement offers Celeros FT the potential to design and fabricate valves and pumps for key Westinghouse AP1000 and AP300 projects.
Celeros FT’s Canadian facility in Burlington, Ontario, is set to play a key role in supporting the next Westinghouse AP1000 project. It is one of four global locations owned and operated by Celeros FT to hold nuclear accreditation and provides a dedicated workspace for the manufacture and maintenance of nuclear pumps and valves from brands including ClydeUnion Pumps and Copes-Vulcan.
Westinghouse also gains access to Celeros FT’s specialist engineering and industry expertise.
