Uraca celebrates 125th anniversary
The German plunger pump company Uraca GmbH & Co KG is marking its 125th anniversary this year. Founded in 1893 as a mechanical workshop by cousins Friedrich Krumm and Gustav Magenwirth.
Uraca currently has annual sales of around €70 million, with exports accounting for more than 60%. The company has subsidiaries in China and France and employs more than 300 people, including 21 trainees. Read More …….
Voith to provide pumps for Beijing’s water supply
Voith has signed a contract with China’s Shanxi Yellow River Water Industry Corporation to supply and install 19 large-scale pumps and accessories for the Wan JiaZhai project in Beijing.
The pumps are needed to expand Beijing’s existing water supply network. The €27 million order was placed during the recent China International Import Expo in Shanghai. Read More …….
Bedford pumps for Moroccan fertiliser plant
Bedford Pumps Ltd will shortly supply seven pumps to a fertiliser plant located at the port of JorfLasfar in Morocco.The plant, which belongs to OCP Group, is the largest fertiliser complex in the world.

Amarinth API 610 pumps for Iraq’s Rumaila oil field
Amarinth has received its first order from Iraq Gates Contracting Company (IGCC) for US$410 000 worth of API 610 OH1 pumps for the Rumaila oil field in Iraq.
The order is for ten API 610 OH1 condensate transfer pumps with Plan 11 and Plan 52 double seals and seal support systems.
The pumps are for the Rumaila oil field, a super-giant oil field located 50km to the west of Basra city in southern Iraq. Read More …….

EIL Wins Rs. 5,000 Crore Project Of HRRL
Engineers India Ltd. said that it has won Rs. 5,000 crore project execution order from HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRRL).
Prime Minister earlier this year laid the foundation stone for the 9-million tonne or 1.8 lakh bpd greenfield refinery at Pachpadra village in Barmer district of Rajasthan being set up in a 75:25 joint venture with the state administration.
HRRL has entrusted the project for execution of Rajasthan Refinery Project to EIL.
Weir Oil & Gas wins US$50mn contracts in Iraq
Weir Oil & Gas Dubai has signed multi-year contracts more than US$50 million in Iraq with two international oil companies.The contracts cover the provision of Weir Oil & Gas workshop services and engineering support for an oil field and valve repair and maintenance services for another giant oil field.
