KSB Satisfied With Financial  performance in  Covid-19 year

KSB, the Frankenthal-based manufacturer of pumps and valves, is satisfied with the 2020 financial year, even though order intake, sales revenue and earnings were down on the strong prior year due to the repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic.
KSB Satisfied with Financial Statements for a Year Overshadowed by COVID-19.  The company expects key financial figures to improve significantly in the 2021 anniversary year.     Read More …….  

IR  sells majority interest in High Pressure segment

Ingersoll Rand Inc has completed the sale of the majority interest in its High Pressure Solutions (HPS) segment to the private equity firm American Industrial Partners (AIP).
Ingersoll Rand will retain a 45% common equity interest in the HPS business.
The company will use the approximately US$300 million proceeds from the sale to support core, sustainability-oriented growth initiatives.
This transaction significantly reduces Ingersoll Rand’s direct exposure to the upstream oil and gas market to non-material revenue exposure of less than 2% of total expected 2021 revenue. 

Nikkiso Cryogenic Industries  acquires actuator IP

The pump unit of Nikkiso Cryogenic Industries’ Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group (CE&IG) has acquired the intellectual property (IP) to manufacture and assemble electric-mechanical actuators (EMA) and the associated control panels. CE&IG’s pump unit will manufacture and assemble the EMAs at its Nikkiso ACD factory in Santa Ana, California. Read More …….

Sulzer customises pumps after 100 years of service

Sulzer recently took on the challenge to upgrade a 100-year-old pump installation in New Orleans as part of a long-term programme to improve the performance and resilience of the city’s water system.
The Oak Street Intake Pump Station, built in the 1920s, is vital to the city’s water supply network. The station’s three main pumps can each deliver up to 80 million gallons (363,000 m3) of water per day.    Read More ……

KBL supplies Mettur Surplus Water Scheme project

Kirloskar Brothers Ltd (KBL) will be the primary pump provider for the Mettur Surplus Water Scheme project in Tamil Nadu, India, which will divert surplus water to help farmers with irrigation.
KBL is the primary provider of relevant fluid management solutions for the scheme and has supplied vertical turbine pumps and commissioned the relevant pump houses for the project.

WILG  acquires borehole pump manufacturer Well Pumps

WILG (Water Is Life Group) Group has acquired the borehole pump manufacturer Well Pumps SA Belgium and Well Pumps Solar Portugal from the Van Heuverswyn brothers.
Stakeholder Jan Van Genechten is staying on under WILG ownership as general manager of Well Pumps.
WILG already includes the Belgian companies Watertechniek Teunissen, MPI Pumps & Irrigation, Aubia and Leo Europe. The group had 2020 sales of almost €25 million.

Terrestrial Energy selects KSB for primary salt pumps

Canada’s Terrestrial Energy has awarded KSB Pumps a supply contract to develop and manufacture primary pumps for use in the Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR), a Generation IV advanced nuclear power plant.
The IMSR primary molten salt pump circulates the fuel salt from the reactor graphite core to the primary heat exchangers, and is a key component of Terrestrial Energy’s IMSR power plant. 

Idex closes acquisition of Abel Pumps

Idex Corp has completed its acquisition of Abel Pumps LP from Hillenbrand Inc. Abel designs and manufactures highly engineered reciprocating positive displacement pumps for end markets including mining, marine, power, water, wastewater and other general industries. The company’s diaphragm and high-pressure piston pumps serve harsh, demanding applications involving abrasive or corrosive substances and fluids with high solids content.  Abel has an administration office and manufacturing plant in Büchen, Germany, and sales and service locations in Madrid, Spain and Pittsburgh, USA.

Abel is now part of Idex’s Fluid and Metering Technologies segment.

Franklin Electric buys Puronics

Franklin Electric Co., Inc. announced that it has acquired Puronics, Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiaries, headquartered in Livermore, California, in an all-cash transaction.
Puronics is a residential and commercial water treatment products and services provider operating four company owned service centers and serving approximately 133 independent water quality dealers with approximately 260 locations in 31 states. Puronics’ consolidated annual sales are approximately USD $24 million.  Read More …….

Sulzer  increases Production   At Finnish Factory

Sulzer is launching a major investment project to digitalize and automate the assembly, test bed and painting processes in its Finnish factory in Kotka, located 130 km east of Helsinki. With the enhanced automation of production processes, Sulzer will improve productivity and shorten lead times for customer orders.
The new setup will meet the most advanced standards in the industry, also in terms of ergonomics and safety for employees.   Read More …….   

Strong Financial Performance of Grundfos In 2020

After having been significantly impacted by COVID-19 during the first half of 2020, Grundfos returned to stronger sales traction in the second half of 2020 with sales only 1.0 percent below 2019.
Full year net turnover ended at 26.3bn DKK, corresponding to a decline in sales versus 2019 of 4.4 percent when measured in local currencies. A cash flow from operating activities of 3.5bn DKK and an equity ratio of 68.9 percent secures financial strength.   Read More …….
