Krones to acquire Ampco Pumps
German machinery manufacturer Krones Group has signed an agreement to acquire 90% of Ampco Pumps Company LLC. The company has been providing centrifugal and positive displacement pumps worldwide for more than 70 years. In 2022, Ampco Pumps generated revenue of approximately US$50 million. Read More …….
ABB Acquired Siemens Low Voltage Nema Motor Business
ABB announced it has completed its acquisition of the Siemens low voltage NEMA motor business. The transaction was originally announced August 11, 2022, and financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The Danish marine pump specialist Svanehøj has acquired Complete Cryogenic Services (CCS), a specialist in the service and overhaul of submerged pumps on LNG tankers. Tustin, California, USA-based CCS has more than 30 years of experience in the service and overhaul of submerged cargo, spray, and high-pressure pumps for cargo containment systems on LNG tankers. Sigma Group has specified Thordon Bearings’ grease-free bearings for its specialized pumping sets for flood defence and irrigation projects across Egypt. Grundfos Achieved Record Turnover In 2022
Despite turbulent market conditions, Grundfos has reported a strong performance in 2022 with sales growth of 12.1%, net turnover at a record DKK33.3 billion and earnings (EBIT before special items) reaching DKK3.9 billion.
Grundfos achieved strong sales growth in key markets, including the US, Germany and the UK, which contributed to a 2022 global growth of 16.2%, adjusted for lost sales in Russia and Belarus. During 2022, Grundfos closed its business in Russia and Belarus incurring a one-off restructuring expense of DKK851 million.
2022 was a year with historic market turbulence including the Russian invasion of Ukraine, continued impact of Covid-19, bottlenecks in global supply chains, rising energy prices, high inflationary pressure and significant currency swings.
Xylem to Acquire Evoqua In US$7.5bn Deal
Xylem Inc has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Evoqua Water Technologies Corp, the water treatment solutions and services company, in a US$7.5 billion all-stock transaction.
Evoqua complements Xylem’s portfolio of solutions with advanced water and wastewater treatment capabilities, an extensive service network and access to a number of attractive industrial markets including life sciences, microelectronics, power and food and beverage. The company is also a leader in the remediation of emerging contaminants, including PFAS.
