ITT expands pump testing capabilities in India, Saudi Arabia and Germany
ITT Inc is investing approximately US$11 million to expand testing capabilities at three of its Industrial Process (IP) sites to enhance capacity for large project awards in its flow business. The investments at IP facilities in Obernkirchen, Germany, Vadodara, India and Dammam, Saudi Arabia will increase ITT’s power capacity in pump, motor and control systems testing, enabling the company to locally test larger, more complicated pump packages. Ebara 8 nos large pumps for Las Vegas water project
Ebara Corp has received an order from the Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) to supply eight large water pumps for the US city of Las Vegas in Nevada.
Ebara delivered 12 large pumps to SNWA’s Lamb Pump Station and Sloan Pump Station about 20 years ago. The eight new large double suction single-stage centrifugal pumps will be added to the two pumping stations. Read More …….

KSB makes its largest Investments Worldwide In Frankenthal
KSB is making a €60 million investment over the next five years in its Eta pump production facility at the company’s headquarters in Frankenthal, Germany.
The production of Eta pumps will be modernised and expanded, making Frankenthal the centre of excellence for the latest generation of electronically controlled pumps in Europe. This is one of the largest single investments the company has ever made. Read More …….
Baker Hughes centrifugal pumps for Canadian LNG project
Baker Hughes has secured an order from Black & Veatch to supply electric driven liquefaction equipment, including centrifugal pumps, to Cedar LNG in Canada.
The range of turbo machinery equipment consists of four electric-driven main refrigeration compressors, two electric-driven boil-off gas compressors and six centrifugal pumps. Powered by renewable electricity, Cedar LNG will be one of the lowest carbon intensity LNG facilities in the world.
GIW changes name to KSB GIW
The legal name of GIW Industries Inc has changed to KSB GIW Inc.
The brands GIW Slurry Pumps, KSB Mining, and KSB SupremeServ will remain the same.
GIW Industries Inc has been a wholly owned subsidiary of the KSB Group since the 1990s. KSB GIW Inc says combining the two powerful brands in one name creates more synergies, name-brand recognition, and access to newer markets.
Netzsch opens new pump plant in Brazil
Netzsch Pumpen & Systeme GmbH has officially opened its new Notos multi screw pump plant in Pomerode, Santa Catarina, Brazil.
The new factory, in the Testo Central district, will supply the global market with high-quality screw pumps specially designed for demanding applications. It will also result in expanded production capacity for Netzsch’s other product lines at the company’s existing site in Pomerode. In addition to screw pumps, this also includes peristaltic pumps, rotary lobe pumps and progressing cavity pumps as well as macerator systems.
KSB Closes The 2023 Financial Year With Record Performance
Frankenthal-based pump and valve manufacturer KSB closed the 2023 financial year with record figures for order intake and sales revenue. The EBIT margin (earnings before finance income / expense and income tax) of 7.9 % reached the level originally targeted for 2025.
In the 2023 financial year, KSB significantly increased order intake by + 3.4 % to € 2,960 million. Order intake increased by 9.1 % to € 393 million in the Valves Segment and by 8.0 % to € 990 million in the KSB SupremeServ Segment. In the Pumps Segment, order intake of € 1,577 million stagnated almost at the previous year’s level.
KSB increased sales revenue by + 9.5 % to € 2,819 million in the 2023 financial year. Sales revenue rose by 11.0 % to € 944 million in the KSB SupremeServ Segment, while the Pumps Segment recorded an increase of 8.9 % to € + 1,514 million. The Valves Segment enjoyed a similar growth rate of 8.5 % to € 361 million.
