Alfa Laval secures Framo pumping orders worth SEK275mn

Alfa Laval has won three orders to supply Framo pumping systems for three FPSO (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading) vessels to be built in China.
The orders, together worth around SEK275 million, comprise marine pumping systems for crude oil offloading, produced water, slop and ballast duties.
The off-shore orders are booked in the Pumping Systems unit of Alfa Laval’s Marine Division, with deliveries scheduled for 2021.
Alfa Laval recently booked SEK155mn in offshore pumping systems orders for two FPSO vessels that will operate off the coast of Brazil.
Framo was acquired by Alfa Laval in 2014. 

Nuclear pump seal maintenance contract for SNC-Lavalin

SNC-Lavalin subsidiary Candu Energy Inc has secured a C$6.9 million multi-year contract to support Bruce Power’s primary heat transport system’s pump seal maintenance program until 2023.
Canada’s SNC-Lavalin has been the sole supplier of CAN8 pump seals for Bruce Power since 2011. SNC-Lavalin will work with support from Canadian Nuclear Laboratories and with the supply chain to improve economies of scale associated with the long term plan to lower costs.
The CAN-series pump seals have been installed in a number of Candu stations including all eight units at Bruce Power.  

Abel pumps for power project in Bangladesh

Germany’s Abel GmbH has secured a major order to supply three HMQ pumps for a power project in Bangladesh. Abel will deliver the pumps by September 2021.
The customer, a global provider of ash removal solutions for the power generation industry, will use the large Abel pumps for discharging highly concentrated fly ash sludge.
This is Abel’s second order for Bangladesh. The pump company has already delivered for another project in the country in 2019.
There are more than 110 installations worldwide of Abel piston membrane pumps for for highly concentrated ash sludge duties.

Voith to upgrade pump turbines at Spanish hydro plants

Voith has signed a contract with the Spanish electricity generation company Iberdrola to modernise five pump turbines for the Torrejón and Valdecañas hydroelectric power plants located on the River Tajo in Spain.   Read More …….

Ebara secures first Brazilian custom pump order in 50 years

Brazil’s Ebara Bombas América do Sul Ltda (EBAS) has received an order for a vertical pump from steel maker Companhia Siderurgica Nacional.  This is the first order that Ebara has received for a vertical pump in Brazil in almost 50 years.
The custom pump will be manufactured at an Ebara plant in Vietnam and is scheduled to be shipped in March 2021. Read More …….

Amarinth  API 685 magnetic drive pump for North Sea rig

Amarinth has supplied an API 685 magnetic drive horizontal pump to Sensia for an offshore oil rig in the Norwegian North Sea.
Sensia was supplying a sampling and monitoring skid for an oil rig operating in the Edvard Grieg oil field but was finding it difficult to fit a standard API 610 horizontal pump with a Plan 53B seal support system in the extreme space restrictions of the platform.  Read More …….

Weir Oil & Gas signs US$1mn service & repair

Weir Oil & Gas Dubai has entered into a three-year agreement with a national oil company in the United Arab Emirates for the service and repair of pumps and motors.
The US$1 million contract covers the provision of Weir Oil & Gas Rotating Equipment services, machine shop services, emergency manufacturing and site works.
Weir Oil & Gas Dubai recently secured a multi-year multimillion-dollar contract with a major gas company to provide fabrication, workshop-machining services and field services in Iraq. 

Circor  pumps for medical glove production in China

Circor International Inc has recently supplied three NTT 250-400 thermal oil pumps with variable frequency drive (VFD) for use on a medical glove production line in Yingke, China. The pumps, installed in the heat transfer system, control the temperature while the gloves dry in their molds.
Working together, the application team in Germany and the sales team in China delivered the pumps in just 10 weeks, considerably shorter than average.    Read Mvore …….
