Metso   pressure filters and pumps for  iron ore projects in India

Metso has been awarded orders, together worth more than €10 million, to deliver concentrate dewatering filters and pumps to two iron ore projects in India.
The Metso scope of delivery consists of the engineering, manufacturing and supply of several VPA pressure filters and filter feed pumps as well as spare parts.
“We are pleased having been chosen to deliver the pressure filters to the two sites. The VPA filters are one of the most sustainable filters available and are classified as Planet Positive products because of their water and energy efficiency,” said Vijay Dhar, Vice President for Minerals Sales in the Middle East and India market areas at Metso.    

Curtiss-Wright to provide pumps for US Navy

Curtiss-Wright Corp has been awarded contracts worth more than US$250 million to provide propulsion valves, pumps and advanced instrumentation and control systems for the US Navy’s Virginia-class nuclear powered attack submarine, Columbia-class submarine and Ford-class aircraft carrier programs.  Read More …….   

Svanehøj secures CO2 pump order

Svanehøj is supplying the cargo pump system for a third Northern Lights LCO2 carrier.
Last year, the Danish gas equipment specialist secured cargo pump orders for Northern Lights’ first two LCO2 carriers.  The vessels are being built at Dalian Shipbuilding Offshore (DSOC) in China. The three ships are the world’s largest of their kind, and this latest order represents a significant milestone for Svanehøj’s ambitions in carbon capture and storage (CCS).  Read More …….

Obart Pumps has officially become Tsurumi Pumps UK Ltd.  The name change follows the acquisition of Obart Pumps by Tsurumi (Europe) GmbH in 2020.

Wilo opens new production plant in India

Wilo Group has built a new sustainable and high-tech production plant in Kesurdi, India where it will manufacture premium pump systems for water management in India, the Middle East, Africa and South-east Asia.
The Kesurdi facility will manufacture, among other things, the Wilo-Vertical Turbine pumps, which are up to 42 metres high and the largest products in the Wilo portfolio. They are used, for example, in drinking water supply, agriculture and flood control.    Read More …….

Wilo expands regional hub in Kenya

Wilo has officially reopened its expanded hub in Nairobi, Kenya, which includes state-of-the-art assembly, testing and training capacities.
The Wilo Group has strengthened its presence in East Africa and reaffirmed its ambition to help shape the sustainable development in the continent as a whole most recently at a “Building Bridges – Africa” business conference held earlier this year at its headquarters in Dortmund.    

Atlas Copco  starting  New Factory In Pune

Atlas Copco Group has begun construction of a new manufacturing facility in Talegaon, Pune, India.  Atlas Copco’s new factory in Talegaon will manufacture air and gas compressor systems for the local market, and for export. It encompasses a manufacturing plant and office building of approximately 25,000 m2. Atlas Copco is investing around MINR 1400 (approximately 180 MSEK).
At the Talegaon facility, around 80% of the energy will come from solar panels and 75% of the water consumed will be derived from rainwater harvesting. The construction will be in line with the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) concept.   

Atlas Copco To Acquire Skyes – Australian Dewatering Pump Manufacturer

Atlas Copco has agreed to acquire Sykes Group Pty Ltd (Sykes) from Seven Group Holdings Ltd (SGH).  Sykes is a global manufacturer of dewatering pumps, predominantly used for transferring water with solids and abrasive nature within the mining and wastewater sectors. It is headquartered in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia.  Read More …….

Grundfos partners with German renewable energy company

Grundfos has formed a new partnership with Germany’s ABO Wind that will mean 80% of its European energy consumption will be sourced from renewable energy.
Under the new partnership, Grundfos will receive clean, green energy from a wind farm, currently being built in Haapajärvi, Finland. The wind farm, consisting of 14 Vestas turbines, will be fully commissioned by the end of this year. With significant manufacturing presence in Europe, Grundfos has committed itself to buying energy sourced from the wind farm for the next 10 years.
