Energy Recovery awarded US$27.5mn desalination contracts in Morocco

Energy Recovery Inc has signed contracts worth US$27.5 million to supply its PX Pressure Exchanger to seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) desalination projects in Morocco. Energy Recovery’s PX can reduce energy consumption in desalination by as much as 60%.
When completed, these projects will supply over one million cubic meters per day of potable water for municipal and agricultural use – enough water for more than 600,000 Moroccans.
Energy Recovery expects to fulfill all of the orders in 2024.

Vestum buys UK wastewater pumping station specialist

Swedish industrial group Vestum AB has acquired all shares in PDAS Holdings Ltd through its subsidiary Pump Supplies Ltd. The acquired company, which will be part of Vestum’s Water segment, generated sales of just over SEK200 million during the broken fiscal year 2023/2024. Read More …….

DOE announces US$85 mn funding for US heat pump manufacturing

As part of the Biden-Harris Administration’s Investing in America agenda, the US Department of Energy (DOE) has announced nearly US$85 million in funding across four heat pump manufacturers to accelerate the manufacturing of electric heat pumps, heat pump hot water heaters, and heat pump components at five factories in New York, Tennessee, Texas, and Rhode Island. Graham to provide cryogenic pump products for defense & space

Graham Corporation has secured defense and space industry contracts worth over US$65 million for mission critical turbomachinery and cryogenic pump products.
The US company has won new contracts to provide the MK19 air turbine pump assembly for the torpedo ejection system on the Columbia-class submarine and cryogenic recirculation pumps for space launch vehicles. It has also been awarded another option year for alternators and regulators to su
pport the MK48 Mod 7 Heavyweight Torpedo program.The products for all three of these contracts will be manufactured at Graham’s Arvada operations in Colorado, USA.

Celeros FT to supply nuclear pump packages for UK plant

Celeros Flow Technology has secured multiple contracts to supply the safety-critical nuclear pump packages for Sizewell C, the UK’s newest nuclear power station. The pumps will be designed and manufactured by the company’s ClydeUnion Pumps brand at its nuclear-accredited facility in Annecy, France. Read More …….

Idex Corp to buy Mott Corp in US$1bn deal

Idex Corp has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Mott Corporation and its subsidiaries for cash consideration of US$1 billion.
Mott is a microfiltration business specializing in the design, customization, and manufacturing of sintered porous metal components and engineered solutions used in fluidic applications.
Mott, which is expected to generate approximately US$200 million of revenue in 2024, will join Idex’s Health & Science Technologies segment.

Tsurumi acquires Italy’s Zenit Group

Japan’s Tsurumi Manufacturing Co Ltd has acquired the entire share capital of Zenit International SpA, the holding company of Italian wastewater treatment plant producer Zenit Group.
Zenit, which is based in San Cesario sul Panaro in the province of Modena, was founded at the end of the 1950s and had a 2023 consolidated turnover of over €40 million. Read More …….
