Mr. Jay Bhadbhade

Jay Bhadbhade is at present one of the acknowledged Senior Technocrats in the Indian Pump industry. He is an Engineering Graduate with from the reputed Government College of Engineering Pune with Post Graduate qualifications in Marketing Management. He was a national scholar during his academic career and also a sports man and an elected General Secretary of the college. He joined Kishor Pumps, a leading special purpose for Pump Manufacturer in Pune in 1977 and was actively associated with the growth of the company till 2002. His most significant Marketing achievement so far has been introduction and establishment of the latest concept of submersible sewage pumps in India from 1985 – 1988. Through numerous technical presentation and extensive filed work he almost single handedly established this new concept in the traditional and skeptical Indian Public Health Departments in India and in the process his name also got closely associated with this new product. Sewage Pumps he also successfully handled other special purpose pump product like vertical special purpose chemical pumps, Ni Hard pumps, mixers, Digesters, aerators etc. in the process he has acquired the required technical knowledge, experience and expertise in the related field of hydraulics, Metallurgy, Pump application Engineering and contract execution etc. After leaving Kishor he joined Aqua, a fledgling organization in submersible pumps with a modest turnover of @ 75 Lacs. With his commitment and all India Market goodwill he established a solid foundation for Aqua in both sewage and Water segment with prestigious orders for Large Submersible Pumps from HMWSSB and Tata Power Corporation. Aqua has further built up on this solid foundation and has now emerged as the Largest Manufacturer of Submersible Pumps in India. Jay Bhadbhade also had two year tenure as a Director in Xylem India for introducing and establishing Flygt brand which is the pioneer and the Largest Manufacturer of Submersible Sewage Pumps in the World. During his tenure Flygt made a grand strategic entry in the Indian Market in Capital Delhi from the top end by securing a prestigious order for 30 no. very Large Submersible Sewage Pumps (up to 1000 HP) for DJB interceptor project. This order of @ 2.5 M USD is the single Largest Submersible Sewage Pumps supply order in India till date and probably in the World also. Being an application Engineering experts and a good Sales Man, Mr. Bhadbhade is also acknowledged Public Speaker. He has received several best presentation awards in pump seminar and workshop. On many occasions he has been invited to compere the proceedings of IPMA formal functions. He has also been occasionally contributing articles on this special subject of his Acquired expertise in Pumps India.
