Netzsch ships its one millionth pump

Netzsch Pumps & Systems has delivered its one millionth pump from its subsidiary in Exton, USA.
The pump, a Nemo progressing cavity pump for high-density solids, was developed at the company’s headquarters in Waldkraiburg, Germany. The Netzsch factory in Brazil designed and built the components and the pump was then assembled, tested and shipped in the US.
The Nemo progressing cavity pump was built for the sewage treatment plant in the city of San Mateo in northern California. The plant processes around 60 million litres of wastewater every day. Two large Nemo hopper pumps with attached aBP modules, to prevent bridging of the dry sludge, will be used in San Mateo.

BBA Pumps for  Agadir desalination project

BBA Pumps is involved in an international pumping project for the Spanish dewatering company Ferrer S.L. The construction of World’s largest sea water desalination plant in Agadir is on track.
The new plant will offer drinking water for the people of CtoukaAitBaha region and also irrigate 15,000 hectares of land. An experienced Ferrer dewatering team has shipped a number of 8-inch mobile BBA Pumps and pipes to Morocco to manage the water transfer during the construction of the plant. The project entails an offshore intake connected to two pipes that will convey the water to the desalination plant. It will also be accompanied by reservoirs for storing drinking water, five pumping stations and 22 km of pipelines.

Sulzer:Twelve Pumps For Chinese Refinery

Close collaboration between Sulzer specialists in Asia, Europe and the US was key to a complex project that allowed twelve sophisticated pumps from three individual designs to be manufactured at Sulzer’s China plant for the first time.   Read More ……

Rheinmetall secures major order for  vacuum pumps

A renowned international carmaker has awarded Rheinmetall Automotive AG, part of technology group Rheinmetall AG, a major order for electrical vacuum pumps. The order extends to a lifetime volume of EUR 250 million.  The components will be manufactured by PierburgHuayu Pump Technology (PHP), a Shanghai-based joint venture company of Rheinmetall Automotive.  Read More …….

Andritz Electromechanical Equipment For Kiru Hydropower Plant In J&K

International technology group ANDRITZ received an order from the Indian utility company CHENAB VALLEY POWER PROJECTS (P) LTD. to supply the complete electro-mechanical equipment for the Kiru run-of-river hydropower plant (624 MW) located on the Chenab River in Kishtwar district, Jammu and Kashmir, India.
The contract has an order value of more than 50 million euros.    Read More …….

Weir bags  big  contract in Iraq

Weir Oil & Gas Dubai has signed a multi-year multimillion-dollar contract with a major gas company to provide fabrication, workshop-machining services and field services in Iraq.
Weir says that the contractual agreement further consolidates its Rig to Grid capabilities in the Middle East. It will also allow Weir to expand its portfolio in the oil field in which the gas company operates.  In the Eastern Hemisphere region, Weir Oil & Gas provides an off-the-shelf range of products, as well as customised wellhead solutions. Weir Oil & Gas provides in-country service and support through Centers of Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence.

KSB: Slurry Pumping In The Oils Sands Industry

In January 2020 GIW Industries, Inc.a US subsidiary of the KSB Group, manufactures wear-resistant slurry pumps for dredging applications,  commissioned its largest ever heavy duty centrifugal slurry pump for operation in Canada’s oil sands, namely the TBC (Tie Bolt Construction)-92. Named after its 92-inch (2337mm) impeller, the TBC -92 is the largest and heaviest slurry pump available in the oil sands industry and emerges as the latest in a line of powerful high-pressure pumps offered by GIW.  Read More …….

Pfeiffer Vacuum celebrates 130th anniversary

2020 marks the 130th anniversary of German vacuum technology company Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology AG.
Arthur Pfeiffer founded the company in Wetzlar, Germany, in 1890, to produce remote ignition systems for gas lamps. Once electric light bulbs arrived, Pfeiffer turned his attention to the new lighting technology and this led him to look at the vacuum technology used in its production. He went on to concentrate entirely on the vacuum technology field.
The company developed the turbomolecular pump in 1958.
Today, Pfeiffer Vacuum’s products range from individual components to complex vacuum systems. In addition to hybrid and magnetically levitated turbopumps, the Pfeiffer Vacuum product portfolio includes backing pumps, leak detectors, measurement and analysis devices, components as well as vacuum chambers and systems.   

VaTech  for wastewater treatment in  Hyderabad

Va Tech Wabag is seeing growth opportunities in India and overseas. The company, which is operating drinking water treatment plants in Hyderabad, sees the potential to cater to wastewater treatment in the city in the coming years, as the city may potentially generate 700-800 million litres per day (MLD) of wastewater.    Read Mvore …….

Indian oil resumes work on projects worth Rs 1 lakh crore after lockdown

Indian Oil Corporation Limited has resumed work on projects worth Rs 1.04 lakh crore across the country, after the easing of lockdown from April 20.
“Indian Oil has commenced works on 336 projects at an anticipated project cost totalling to Rs 1.04 lakh crore. The amount spent on these ongoing projects is about Rs 1,764 crore till the end of June 2020. Additionally, more than 50 projects have also resumed since July 1, 2020,” a company statement said. Read More …….
