Abel secures HMQ pump orders
Abel is supplying two HMQ pumps for mine tailing projects in Peru and Macedonia.
One of the HMQ pumps will be used to transport tailings in a mine in Peru at 4600masl (metres above sea level).
The customer in Macedonia is building a new paste plant on site that will avoid the use of a tailing dam. Abel’s HMQ pump will backfill the paste plant’s underground stopes while the mine keeps advancing at a faster pace.
Atlas Copco buys Canada’s CPC Pumps
Atlas Copco has acquired CPC Pumps International Inc, a Canadian company that specialises in custom-engineered, process-critical centrifugal pumps for the hydrocarbon industry.
Burlington, Ontario-based CPC Pumps designs, manufactures and services centrifugal pumps mainly for the North American market. The company had revenues of around SEK385 million (C$56 million) in fiscal 2020.
CPC Pumps is now part of the Gas & Process division within Atlas Copco’s Compressor Technique business area.
Fischer Industries buys HE Danby

Ebara launches hydrogen business project
This is the first project under Ebara’s recently established Corporate Project (CP) System. Projects are required to be in line with Ebara’s medium-term management plan; to have potential business scale growth above a certain level; to take the medium–long term to launch a business due to an execution difficulty; and to involve multiple business units as well as brand new ideas or knowledge.
The CP Hydrogen Business Project team consists of Ebara’s Marketing Strategy Unit, which undertakes research and analysis, and the Technology Development Unit which develops products.
