AMPO POYAM Cryogenic valves for regasification plant in Gujrat
In a rapidly developing country like India with an ever-growing demand for LNG, thousands of AMPO POYAM valves are already installed in every regasification plant of the country and the new regasification plant at Chhara will not be an exception.
Toyo Engineering was awarded the project for a new regasification plant with a send-out capacity of 5 million tons from HPCL Shapoorji Energy Pvt. Ltd (HSEPL) at Chhara, in Gujarat State on the west coast of India. This new terminal will have two LNG storage tanks with 185,000m3 capacity, as well as two loading bays. Toyo India is executing EPC work on a turnkey basis and has relied on AMPO POYAM VALVES for the design, manufacturing, and supply of several highly engineered cryogenic ball, gate, globe, and check valves for this project. The regasification plant is scheduled to be completed at the beginning of 2022.
AMPO POYAM VALVES has worked for hand in hand with Toyo on the optimal valve selection for each special and critical application of this project and is supplying more than 2000 cryogenic ball valves up to 36” and 1500 lbs, both manual and shutdown, as well as more than 240 cryogenic globe and check valves.

Schroeder Valves supplied to Egypt
Schroeder Valves is among the suppliers for the world’s biggest gas-fired combined-cycle power plant complex currently built in Egypt. The first of a total of 36 Schroeder High Pressure Valves (SHP) have already been delivered. The automatic recirculation valve is suited for the high and maximum pressure range as well as for situations involving highly fluctuating pump loads and long periods of operation under extreme partial load conditions – exactly the features needed for the protection of the pumps in the Egyptian complex.
The Schroeder High Pressure Valve SHP is an automatic recirculation valve that was developed to protect pumps and equipment from damage that can occur due to the flow rate falling below the permissible minimum. Thus the SHP is suited primarily for customers in the field of the power plant and plant construction and the offshore industry. The SHP builds on existing Schroeder Valves technology. The company already has decades of operational experience with almost all of the effective principles and assemblies used.
Indian Oil to invest 24,000cr in Gujarat refinery expansion
Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has signed up an investment pact for adding petrochemical and lube plants to its previously announced plan to expand crude oil processing capacity at its Koyali refinery at Vadodara in Gujarat.
Expanding refining capacity by 4.3 million tonnes per annum to 18 million tonnes and adding plants to produce 500,000 tonnes per annum of polypropylene and 2,35,000 tonnes of lube oil base stock at the site would see a total investment of about Rs 24,000 crore.
The inclusion of the petrochemical-lube integration component comes as part of IOC’s strategy to create a building block for future production of niche chemicals with a potential to increase petrochemical and specialty products integration index on incremental crude throughput to improve margins.
