Gilbarco wins Indian submersible turbine pumps tender
The Madhya Pradesh govt is set to install 52,000 solar irrigation pumps, totaling a cumulative capacity of around 250 MW across the state.
The pumps, for which tenders have already been issued, will be available to farmers on a first-come, first-served basis. Farmers will have to pay 40% of the costs, while 30% will be will be subsidised by the union govt and remaining 30% by the state govt. Read More …….
Ingersoll Rand acquires India’s UT Pumps
Ingersoll Rand Inc has acquired UT Pumps & Systems Private Limited, an Indian manufacturer of screw pumps and triplex plunger pumps.
The bolt-on acquisition adds new pump technology to Ingersoll Rand’s product portfolio. UT Pumps’ high-pressure pumps are mainly focused on attractive end markets including water, wastewater, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, general industrial, and chemicals.
Faridabad, Haryana-headquartered UT Pumps will join Ingersoll Rand’s Precision and Science Technologies (P&ST) segment.
Weir to supply North America’s largest mill pump for Canadian copper mine
The Weir Group has been awarded contracts to supply its Warman slurry pumps and Cavexhydrocyclones to Teck’s Highland Valley Copper (HVC) Mine Life Extension (MLE) project in Canada.
A cornerstone of this project is the Warman MCR 760 pump, which will be the largest mill circuit pump in North America. Read More …….

Ebara Corp has acquired an 80% stake in Uruguayan pump sales company Asanvil SA through its Brazilian subsidiary Ebara BombasAmérica Do SulLtda (EBAS).Asanvil is now a subsidiary of EBAS.
Located in Canelones, Uruguay, Asanvil’s main business is the assembly, sales, and after-sales service of standard pumps and other products.In its medium-term management plan E-Plan 2025, Ebara has positioned the Building & Industrial Segment as a growth business. The comnpany has already established 10 new bases (including three through M&A) in the five years since 2020, and this will be the 11th.

Atlas Copco buys hygienic pump manufacturer Pomac
Atlas Copco Group has acquired Pomac BV, a Dutch company which develops and manufactures hygienic pumps.
Pomac, founded in 1977 and headquartered in Tolbert, develops and manufactures a complete product range of hygienic pumps under the brand name Pomac Pumps. The pumps are used worldwide in various industries, but mainly in the food & beverage industry.
Pomac is now part of the Power and Flow division, within Atlas Copco’s Power Technique Business Area.
Edwards Vacuum to manufacture dry vacuum pumps with US$18mn funding
The US Department of Commerce and Edwards Vacuum have signed a non-binding preliminary memorandum of terms (PMT) to provide up to US$18 million in proposed direct funding under the CHIPS and Science Act to support the construction of a greenfield state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Genesee County, New York.The facility, which Edwards Vacuum first announced in 2022, will produce dry vacuum pumps, which are needed for semiconductor production, and is estimated to create approximately 600 jobs. ABS approves Nikkiso ammonia fuel supply system
American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) has issued an approval in principle (AIP) for a new ammonia fuel supply system (FSS) from Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases, part of Nikkiso Co Ltd’s Industrial Division.
The ammonia fuel supply system features high efficiency pumps and an integrated fuel management system and can be installed in marine applications such as merchant ships. ABS offers services in the application of ammonia as a marine fuel, as well as other alternative energy sources
