Svanehøj secures FPSO pump order
Svanehøj Group has won a pump and pump package order for a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) unit which will be built in China and later operated in a field in Brazil.
The order consists of 33 Deepwell pumps and 4 diesel-driven firewater pump packages shared by Svanehøj Group’s Svanehøj and Hamworthy Pumps brands. The pumps are scheduled to be delivered in the second half of 2020.
Aesseal invests £1.4mn in test house upgrade
Aesseal has officially reopened its mechanical seal test house in Rotherham, UK after a £1.4 million refurbishment.
The test centre, where the company’s mechanical seals and compressor dry gas seals are produced and put through quality and performance trials, has undergone a major upgrade over the past two years. Read More …….

BHEL Commissions 14 pumping units
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has commissioned two more pumping units each at Package-6 (7×116 MW) and Package-8 (7×139 MW) of Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (LIS).
Notably, with this, BHEL has successfully commissioned all 14 pumping units of these packages within a record period of six months and well within the scheduled time. Read More …….

Norwegian shipyard orders pumps from PG Flow Solutions
PG Flow Solutions is to supply seawater circulation pumps for a wellboat that the Norwegian shipyard Aas Mekaniske Verksted is building for Brønnbåt Nord Lofoten. Eight large seawater circulation pumps will be supplied for the 63.86 metre long and 14 metre wide new build wellboat. Hayward Tyler secures £2mn solar contract in Dubai
Hayward Tyler’s glandless pump packages will be a critical part of the SGS (Solar Tower Steam Generator System) and consist of six forced-circulating pumps and four start-circulating pumps. The pumps will serve the 100MW CSP Tower.
Hayward Tyler has supplied more than 300 glandless pump units to Shanghai Electrical Group over the past three decades.
Private equity firm to acquire Sundyne
Sundyne is being acquired by private equity firm Warburg Pincus from funds advised by BC Partners Advisors LP and The Carlyle Group.
Arvada, Colorado-headquartered Sundyne manufactures highly engineered centrifugal pumps and compressors used in hydrocarbon processing, chemical processing, power generation, industrial and high-pressure water applications.
The US company, a leader in sealless magnetic drive centrifugal pumps and diaphragm compressors, also has operations in Europe, the Middle East, India, Asia, Japan and China.
Mumbai to get two more wastewater treatment plants
The BMC is finally going to appoint a consultant for two more wastewater treatment facilities. The project of eight treatment plants has been on paper for the last 15 years. While BMC appointed consultants for four plants, work on the Malad treatment plant is in the process. The civic body will pay Rs 51 crore to the consultant of the Versova and Ghatkopar treatment plants. Read More …….
KSB divests French service company
KSB has sold SPI Energie SAS, a subsidiary of the French company KSB SAS, to process engineering services specialist Duffau.
La Ravoire-based SPI Energie mainly provides services for industrial compressed air systems. The company has a workforce of 40 and generated sales revenue of €10 million in 2019.
KSB says that selling SPI Energie SAS is part of an initiative intended to strengthen the pump and valve company’s market position.
