Ingersoll Rand  closes  acquisition  of  Tuthill  Vacuum

Ingersoll Rand Inc has completed the US$184 million acquisition of Tuthill Vacuum and Blower Systems, a division of Tuthill Corp.
Based in Springfield, Missouri, Tuthill Vacuum and Blower Systems operates under the tradenames MD Pneumatics and Kinney Vacuum Pumps. The business employs around 160 people and has annual revenues of approximately US$60 million. 

Weir closes sale of Oil & Gas division to Caterpillar

The Weir Group plc has completed the sale of its Oil & Gas division to Caterpillar Inc for an enterprise value of US$405 million.
Weir’s joint venture partner in Saudi Arabia-based Arabian Metals Co (AMCO) is buying the UK company’s 49% stake in AMCO. As a result, the cash proceeds from the sale of the Oil & Gas division, subject to customary working capital and debt-like adjustments, will be US$375 million from Caterpillar Inc and US$30 million on completion of the sale of AMCO, which is expected in the first half of this year. 

Korean shipyards select Svanehøj pumps  

Following the delivery of deepwell pump systems for six Very Large Ethane Carriers (VLECs), Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) and Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) have contracted Svanehøj to supply pumps for an additional four vessels.
Working with French tank designer GTT, Svanehøj will deliver eight cargo pumps, two fuel pumps and four spray pumps in the third quarter of 2021 for each of the four VLECs.
These latest pump orders are worth more than US$7.5 million to Svanehøj.

Sulzer completes  acquisition of Nordic Water

Sulzer has completed its SEK1.2 billion acquisition of Nordic Water, the Swedish supplier of water treatment technology.
Gothenburg-headquartered Nordic Water provides screening, sedimentation and filtration solutions for municipal and industrial water and wastewater applications.
Nordic Water brings a broad application suite of primary, secondary and tertiary water treatment solutions to Sulzer, and a deep understanding of water and wastewater treatment applications.

Alfa Laval invests in AMI Global

Alfa Laval has taken a 20% stake in AMI Global, a specialist in end-to-end industrial Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for rotating equipment.
AMI Global, a portfolio company of private equity firm Cimbria Capital, helps manufacturers to add remote connectivity, data collection, device control, and analytic capabilities to pumps, motors and variable speed drives.
Alfa Laval says that the 20% stake will enable the company to strengthen its competence in IoT technologies. The investment is part of Alfa Laval’s digital transformation and its ambitions to supply remote monitoring of products and solutions.

May River Capital  acquires Unibloc Pump

May River Capital, a Chicago-based private equity firm, has acquired Unibloc Pump, a US manufacturer of positive displacement pumps, strainers, valves, bubble traps and other solutions for sanitary flow control applications.
Founded in 1984 by Harry Soderstrom, Unibloc Pump is headquartered in Kennesaw, Georgia with a second facility in Beckum, Germany.
May River Capital, which focuses on investing in lower middle-market, industrial growth companies, acquired US submersible pump provider BJM Pumps LLC in 2017.

Selwood pumps can be fuelled by vegetable oil

Selwood has become the first UK rental company to offer pumps that can be fuelled by hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO)  in a move that will significantly cut greenhouse gas emissions.  Read More …….

Ebara to acquire Turkish pump maker Vansan

Japan’s Ebara Corp is acquiring Turkish pump manufacturer Vansan Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ in a US$108 million deal. The acquisition of Vansan is expected to be completed by the end of March 2021.  Read More ……

Idex to buy Abel Pumps from Hillenbrand

Idex Corp has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Abel Pumps LP from Hillenbrand Inc for US$103.5 million in cash. Abel’s administration office and manufacturing plant are in Büchen, Germany, with sales and service locations in Madrid, Spain and Pittsburgh, USA.   Read More …….      

150,000th   Bredel Peristaltic Hose Pump Sold

Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group has passed a notable business milestone by selling the 150,000th Bredel peristaltic hose pump to a mining industry customer in Mexico.
