Vogelsang sees 2020 revenues increase 7%
Germany’s Vogelsang GmbH & Co KG managed to increase its revenue by around 7% in 2020 to €134 million, despite the Covid-19 pandemic.
The revenue growth was driven by the agricultural technology and biogas segments. Vogelsang said it also responded to market demand for innovative and targeted solutions with the launch new products like the XRipper XRG macerator for sewers. Read More …….
Amarinth supplies titanium pumps for FPSOs in Brazil
Amarinth has delivered four titanium pumps to VWS Westgarth that will be installed on two floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels operated by Petrobas off the coast of Brazil.
VWS Westgarth, the largest single supplier and operator of sulphate reduction membrane systems, ordered four chemically enhanced backwash pumps. Read More …….
Wilo acquires Abionik Group
Wilo Group is expanding in clean technology with the acquisition of the Berlin-based Abionik Group from private equity company BID Equity and other shareholders.
The Abionik Group includes Martin Systems, Likusta Umwelttechnik and Steinhardt, which specialise in wastewater and exhaust air treatment as well as rainwater treatment and flood control.
Wilo says that by adding Abionik’s products to its existing portfolio, the company will be able to offer customers a significantly broader range of applications in the water management and industry segments.
Flowserve pumps for Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine production
Flowserve Corp is supplying pumps, valves and seals to pharmaceutical company Pfizer to support the production of its Covid-19 vaccine.
The Flowserve manufacturing facilities in Chesapeake, Virginia, USA and Itzehoe, Germany are supplying pumps to Pfizer for their North American and European vaccine production. Read More …….
Hamworthy to provide 235 pumps for new Royal Navy frigates
Hamworthy Pumps will supply the pump solutions for five new Type 31 frigates that Babcock International Group is building for the UK’s Royal Navy by 2028.
The Babcock International Group contract covers the delivery of 235 pumps over a five-year period.
Hans Christiaan Laheij, Hamworthy Pumps’ recently appointed CEO, said the Type 31 programme will be an important reference in the coming years, with the pump company further increasing its focus on the Navy segment
IR to sell High Pressure Solutions segment
Ingersoll Rand Inc has entered into an agreement to sell a majority interest in its High Pressure Solutions (HPS) segment to the US private equity firm American Industrial Partners (AIP). The HPS segment represents substantially all of Ingersoll Rand’s exposure to upstream oil and gas.
Ingersoll Rand will receive cash proceeds of approximately US$300 million when the deal closes and will retain a 45% common equity interest in the business. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2021.
