Private equity firm to acquire SPX Flow in US$3.8bn deal
SPX Flow Inc has entered into an agreement to be acquired by an affiliate of private equity firm Lone Star Funds in an all-cash transaction valued at US$3.8 billion.
Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, SPX Flow had 2020 revenues of approximately US$1.4 billion, with operations in more than 30 countries and sales in over 140 countries. SPX Flow pump brands include APV, Bolting Systems, Bran+Luebbe, Gerstenberg Schroeder, Hytec, Johnson Pump, Johnson Pump Marine, Pneumatic Products, Power Team and Waukesha Cherry-Burrell.
Unibloc acquires Standard Pump
Unibloc Pump has bought Standard Pump, a US manufacturer of hygienic process pumps based in Duluth, Georgia. Both Unibloc Pump and Standard Pump are located in the greater Atlanta metro area of Georgia. Read More ……

Record order intake for Svanehøj
2021 has been a record year for Svanehøj.
The Danish pump specialist Svanehøj expects to post an all-time high order intake of DKK750 million–DKK800 million for 2021, up 50% on the company’s previous record set in 2014. Sulzer launches world’s biggest medium-consistency pump
Sulzer has announced the launch of the world’s biggest medium-consistency pump, the MCE93-400, which has been built in response to customer demand for bigger production rates in pulp mills. The pumping of liquids with a high dry solids content – medium consistency – is essential for processes in the pulp and paper industry.
In recent years, production rates have spiralled. As a result, Sulzer developed the MCE93-400 for a customer project with record-breaking values.
The capacity of the pump reaches up to 10,000 air dry metric tonnes per day with the flow up to 940 l/s and the head up to 180 m. The MCE pump is designed for a pressure rating of 25 bar. The first big MCE pumps have been dispatched to a major pulp manufacturer in South America.

Watson-Marlow starts a new plant in Massachusetts
Watson-Marlow has held a ground breaking ceremony for its new US manufacturing facility in Devens, Massachusetts.
The 150 000 sq ft (14 000 sq m) facility, which will focus on a number of products including peristaltic pumps, tubing, fluid path solutions and BioPure components, is due to be completed in late 2022 with first customer deliveries expected before the end of the year. Read More …….
