AMPO POYAM VALVES supplies 56” and 900 LBS gate valves

AMPO POYAM VALVES is supplying diverse highly engineered valves up to 56” and 900 lbs for the Berri development project, where Aramco is adding new processing units to its gas-oil separation facilities at Abu Ali in the Arabian Gulf. Saudi Aramco is the owner and end user of this field and it awarded the EPC contract for the development of this project to the EPC contractor Saipem/Snamprogetti Saudi Arabia Ltd.
AMPO POYAM VALVES has designed and manufactured several highly engineered gate and swing check valves for this project, including 56” and 48” and 900 lbs gate valves with Inconel 625 weld overlay applied to all their wet surfaces. Cladding operations were completely performed at the facilities in Spain by using its own machining and cutting-edge weld overlay cladding technologies consisting of diverse welding robots and cladding cells with a high level of automation. The cladding process for the 56” gate valve required approximately 12 weeks of uninterrupted production and has provided anticorrosive qualities and wear resistance, anti-coking, metal dusting resistance, etc. to the sealing and contact areas of the valves.

Rheinmetall wins big order for back pressure valves

A prior customer from the commercial vehicles sector has awarded the technology enterprise Rheinmetall another order for several hundred thousand back pressure valves. Building on an existing customer relationship and ongoing customer-specific production, the new order is worth an aggregate figure in the lower two-digit million-euro range.
The two companies have been working together for over a decade. As a Tier 1 supplier, Rheinmetall is already supplying the customer with back pressure valves. The current order relates to diesel-powered light commercial vehicles for the Japanese market. Already underway, production of valves destined for this manufacturer is now set to continue through the end of 2026. The contract also encompasses the supply of spare parts amounting to 10% of the contract value.
Back pressure valves play an essential role in regulating the exhaust gas recirculation rate. Increasingly stringent emission standards are forcing truck makers to pursue a sustained reduction in fine particles and other harmful emissions.
